As early as age 3, we see children ready to independently go into class and follow the teacher's instruction without the parent/guardian. We love being able to nurture children this young, but of course, welcome students of all ages - even adults.
Dance offers students a total body workout that allows them to explore new movements, improve coordination and rhythm, increase memory and build strength and endurance. Beyond physical development, our students also benefit emotionally by having the opportunity to express themselves freely, and socially by interacting and working with others in class. Dance is an activity that often stays with students for a lifetime.
No, we do not subscribe to dance competitions. We pride ourselves on being a "non-competitive" dance studio, offering students professional instruction with personal guidance to help them meet their dance goals.
Yes, we assume students are participating for the 32-week school year. We do offer an add/drop date to allow families some flexibility for the second semester.
No, we take it up on ourselves to set the school year schedule. However, we do follow Henrico County's Winter and Spring break. All other closings will be noted in our school calendar.
No, we will decide to stay open or closed during inclement weather. Please see our website, call the studio or check out our social media platforms for updates (Facebook, Instagram.)
No, we do not offer ballroom dance. However, we do offer some specialty dance instruction such as flash mob dances for weddings and special events. Please contact us to inquire further.
Yes, we are happy to offer private individual and group lessons. Please note that private individual lessons are not in place of regular weekly classes, but utilized for additional preparation and training. Group private lessons are ideal for weddings, birthday parties, corporate events, and any other occasion.

Yes, we hold a recital at the end of the spring semester and all dancers are expected to participate! Unless you notify us in writing before our add/drop deadline that you will be dropping spring semester, you will be responsible for paying the costume fee, usually $75-100 per class.
Each year we alternate between a Spring Showcase and a Big Recital. The big recital years feature a storyline with lead characters and set pieces. While the spring showcase has a general theme, no storyline.
These much anticipated performances allow our students an opportunity to share all they've learned with friends, family and the community. We always look forward to seeing our students' hard work pay off on stage.
